SolarReserve, LLC – headquartered in Santa Monica, California – is a leading developer of large-scale solar power projects and advanced solar thermal technology with activities worldwide and more than $1.8 billion of projects in operation. SolarReserve has commercialized the world’s leading solar thermal energy storage technology with the capability to deliver clean, reliable electricity at any time, day and night. The company’s experienced team of power project professionals has assembled an extensive 13,000 GW worldwide development portfolio of large-scale solar projects, including some featuring advanced solar thermal technology (CSP) and others utilizing photovoltaic (PV) technology. SolarReserve’s industry leading solar thermal technology features an integrated molten salt energy storage system that enables firm, reliable electricity to be generated on-demand. This energy storage capability, which utilizes liquid molten salt to both capture and store the sun’s thermal energy, provides a non-intermittent and predictable electricity product, similar to that of conventional fossil fuel-burning power facilities, but without the associated harmful emissions and price volatility. Operating just like a conventional power generator, SolarReserve’s CSP plants are a viable alternative to base load coal, nuclear or natural gas burning electricity generation facilities. But unlike conventional fossil fuel generators, SolarReserve’s CSP plants are not only completely emissions-free, but take advantage of a limitless and free fuel source – the sun. Through this innovative approach to clean power generation, SolarReserve offers power utilities and large industrial energy users’ reliable, renewable energy, day and night, to help them meet growing energy consumption needs.
